The marina is situated in an idyllic location on the marshes of the north kent coast.The area is renowned for its wildlife, and regarded one of the most important habitats for birds in the UK. The bird sanctuaries of Elmley and Fowley Island are both close by.
The famous Saxon Shore Way walk runs around the marina and all the way to Gravesend to the west, and round to Hastings if you continue east. Seals are also often seen on the mud banks lining the channel out of the Swale.
Conyer village is a delightful hamlet, with timber clad houses and a local pub. The neighbouring village of Teynham has a number of takeway and grocery shops and the station here is on the London – Dover mainline route.
The marina is also an excellent base for visiting the attractions of East Kent and Canterbury which is only 15 miles away.
